The Cisco IE‑3105‑8T2C‑E is a rugged, DIN‑rail mountable, Layer 2 managed Gigabit Ethernet switch in the IE3100 Rugged Series, specifically designed for industrial automation and edge environments. It includes eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ‑45 ports for downlink connectivity and two dual‑media uplink ports (each supporting either 1 Gbps copper or 1 Gbps SFP fiber), combined offering ten total gigabit interfaces.It operates under Cisco IOS XE with the Network Essentials feature set, enabling features like VLAN segmentation (up to 256 VLANs), IGMP snooping, Spanning Tree (PVST+/RSTP), QoS, ACLs, and importantly Layer 2 NAT (L2NAT) which is supported on the IE‑3105 models to facilitate integration of devices with duplicate IP addresses
