00FM514 Overview

The Lenovo Flex System Fabric (Part Number 00FM514) is a modular 10 GbE Scalable Switch designed for deployment within Lenovo Flex System chassis. By default, it comes licensed with 24×10 GbE port licenses—typically configured as 14 internal fabric connections (for compute-node linkage) and 10 external SFP+ uplinks—all implemented via SFP+ ports (each active port requires a license). The chassis architecture supports flexible port mapping, allowing users to reassign internal/external ports or combine four 10 GbE licenses into one 40 GbE QSFP+ interface.
